Embryo Adoption

Embryo adoption is becoming more popular due to the rise of patients with left over embryos. Many couples who go through IVF end up having more embryos created than what they need. Patients having higher success with IVF; utilizing fewer embryos, is a large part of that.  So what do couples do with these leftover embryos? Their choices include: discard them, donate them to research or donate them to another couple. Donating an embryo to another couple may not be for everyone, but it is a choice that more couples are choosing.

Embryo Adoption

For individuals/couples who have been unsuccessful with IVF they may want to consider embryo adoption as their next course of treatment. The cost can be less than using an egg donor and success rates can be just as high. If you would like more information about embryo adoption please contact RMA of Michigan at (248) 619-3100.
