Fertility Treatment Options

When faced with difficulty conceiving, couples may delay going to a fertility center because of fear of what the word infertility could mean. Many people think infertility means they won’t be able to conceive on their own; or if they can conceive with treatment, it would be too emotionally and/or financially draining. While it is true that some people won’t be able to conceive and treatment can be too costly or too much mentally for a couple; many patients find that there are options.

At our fertility center our physicians will discuss what treatment plan is most appropriate after the patient and partner have had the necessary fertility testing. Those treatment plans could include any of the following:

  • Timed intercourse
  • Ovulation Induction
  • Intrauterine Insemination (IUI) with Clomid
  • IUI with Gonadotropins
  • In vitro fertilization (IVF)
  • IVF with Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI)
  • IVF with Genetic Testing or Chromosome Screening
  • Egg Donor
  • Gestational Carrier

The most important thing for patients to remember is that for a lot of patients there is more than one treatment option for them at our fertility center. The first step is sitting down and talking with one of our fertility doctors. If you would like a fertility consultation at RMA of Michigan please contact us at (248) 619-3100.
